Coe Hil, Ontario

Wollaston Lake is a quick walk down the road

This gem of a house is located in the heart of the Hamlet of Coe Hill. Just over an hour from Peterborough or Belleville, this three bedroom house is full of country charm.

You will find Coe Hill in the new cottage country of Hastings County.

The community is delightfully located by beautiful Wollaston Lake.

There are trails, conservation areas and four seasons of adventure for the outdoor enthusiast.

Located in the heart of the community, your new home is a quick walk to churches, an elementary school, library, Royal Canadian Legion, a grocery store, LCBO, gas station, two cafés and the ever popular Hideaway Primitive Bar and Grill.

Our Fair Grounds come to life each summer for the Coe Hill Fair and for the renowned Warrior’s Day Celebrations.

The beach is a few minutes down the road by foot and Wollaston Lake provides enjoyment all year with fishing, boating and in the winter it is perfect for skating and skiing. Our trails attract for hikers, sleds, ATVs, horseback riders and mountain bikes.

Whether out on the trails or just out and about in the community, you will be amazed at how nature strolls by. Deer and wild turkey are plentiful. We even see Moose wander by from time to time. Horses carry riders back and forth in the good weather and Clydesdale horses pulling wagons make their way past the house. Give a wave and you can take a ride.

Coe Hill has a newly refurbished skating pavilion that doubles as a tennis court in the summer months and our recreation centre hosts regular activities including badminton club and programming for children.

Community lunches, dinners, music nights and social events pack our community calendar year round. The community is one that cares and everyone feels supported.

Coe Hill was originally developed as mining community and the entire region has a wealth of gems and minerals. Iron ore is rich in Coe Hill with large magnetite deposits found just beneath our soil.

Coe Hill boasts incredible DSL high-speed internet service for those who are looking to stay connected. Cell service is also consistent across the area.

In recent years Coe Hill has attracted many artisans and is now featured on the Hastings County Arts Route because of our local galleries and artisan shops. The hamlet is gaining a reputation for being a delightful tourism destination. Tourism operators are supported by Hastings County, the Bancroft Tourism Centre and the Ontario Highlands Tourism Organization.
